I keep ketting strange com.vmware.vcIntegrity reconfiguration messages

If you are using update manager and notice intermittent messages in the task panel of VI Client which state that com.vmware.vcIntegrity is performing reconfiguration, check this VMware Communities post:

In short, check that your 64bit guests have the correct virtual NIC (e1000) set for them, and that there is no mention of some other NIC in the .vmx. file of any 64 bit guest. This holds true especially for 64 bit Linux guests.
